Winter Trends

Now that winter is just around the corner, we’re going to take a look at a few of the trends that are hitting the interior design world this season.

Soft and atmospheric greys are looking to dominate with the delicate hues echoing the majesty of the tranquil winter months. With ash greys and a range of understated welcoming textures, it’s a quick way to give a room a classy makeover!

Scandinavian chic shows no sign of slowing down either. However, there is a new twist emerging through the incorporation of calming Zen-like shapes like the geometric shapes below bringing an almost Japanese tranquillity to the room.

Another theme that seems to be gathering pace is the use of the ‘blush’ colour palette. Again, greys feature as a calming neutral base, but this time, the softness is furthered by the introduction of feminine pinks and rich blacks and aubergine hues.

Tartan is a pattern that seems to be going from strength to strength. Endlessly adaptable, classically stylish and available in a variety of textures and colours, it is one of the key elements for adding a touch of warmth and character to a winter home.

And if there was any doubt about the power of interiors to fight off the cold winter weather, then look no further than a colour that looks to be dominating this season; ochre yellow. Rich, luxurious and warming, it can be used as a soft furnishing, an accent wall, or even as an entire room theme such as in the sublimely chic bedroom below.
